GMB Managers & Coaches Scotland

GMB Managers & Coaches Scotland

Formed in 1978, with a group that included Sir Alex Ferguson, Billy McNeill and Jim McLean, The Managers & Coaches Scotland (MaCS) formally joined with GMB in 1989.

Over the years it has represented managers and coaches who have worked at all levels of football in and beyond Scotland. Despite the mobile nature of their work, it has continued to both support managers and coaches in their employment and to act as a forum to make their voice heard within the governing bodies of football and beyond.

Members have gone on to play an influential role in the game through a range of representative activities including the SFA, SPL and SFL and the League Managers Association in England.

Given our role in sport, it is important that our collective views continue to be heard wherever policy is made. Of course, a number of personal benefits come from membership of the association and these are detailed below.

Most of us have at some time in our career been in a position to benefit from a range of experts with experience of the football business.

I hope that you will support MaCS and be part of its development.
