Across the country, GMB representatives and activists turned out to remember the dead and fight for the living on International Workers' Memorial Day, Thursday 28 April.
Last year, 17 workplace fatalities were recorded by HSE Scotland, over 41,000 non-fatal injuries, and 115,000 reports of workers suffering from work-related stress.
No one should go to work and not return home safe, and against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic we are still scratching the surface of its true impact on workplace health and safety.
