Dear GMB Member

GMB Scotland in Falcon Foodservice Equipment – Pay Offer Agreement

The priority of GMB Scotland is the defence of your interests.

That’s why we campaigned for six months to the brink of industrial action with your employer to deliver a pay deal worth significantly more than their original offer.

I do realise some members wanted to continue this dispute and pursue a further increase, but as I said we work in a collective and that is our strength.

But our campaigning agenda doesn’t end with the implementation of the new pay increase – quite the opposite. We need to build on our position for the future.

That means growing our trade union to be better and stronger so in the future, together, we can negotiate more pay, equality and job security in your workplace.

If you have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact me vie email at alan.ritchie@gmb.org.uk or call 0141 332 8641 during office hours.

Dear GMB Member

GMB Scotland in Falcon Foodservice Equipment – Industrial Action Ballot Result

The priority of GMB Scotland is the defence of your interests.

That’s why we ran a full industrial action ballot against your employer’s failure to improve on their pay offer, which they have said is final.

In response to this, you were asked: "Are you prepared to take part in strike action?" Following the close of the ballot today I can confirm the following result on a turnout of 86 per cent of our members:

  • YES 96.5 per cent
  • NO 3.5 per cent

This is an overwhelming response to your employer that you deserve better. Falcon management can pay more and they should pay more.

I have notified your employer of the ballot result and will confirm our next steps with you shortly via workplace meetings.

In the meantime, if you have any question then please do not hesitate to contact me via email - alan.ritchie@gmb.org.uk – or call 0141 332 8641 during office hours.
