GMB Scotland in Grant Westfield – Pay Talks Update

The priority of GMB Scotland is the defence of your interests.

That's why GMB Scotland have canvassed members in Grant Westfield and you have made it known what you would like to see in this year’s pay talks.

You may have received a letter from the company informing you that a 2.5% pay increase will be applied from 1st July 2018. I should let you know that this increase has not been agreed with GMB.

The company has decided to make this offer without the simple courtesy of discussing with the Union what the views of our members may be.

GMB has insisted that proper process be followed and expect the company to enter into formal negotiations with your representatives to negotiate a decent pay rise and to discuss other matters of concern to you.

For your information, the claim GMB has put forward on your behalf is as follows:

  • A 4% pay uplift across all grades.
  • Harmonisation of hourly rates between the Samples Team and Multipanel Operatives.
  • The introduction of annualised holiday hours for production workers.
  • The introduction of production bonuses in line with production targets. 

You will be kept informed on all stages of the negotiations. Your support is vital for a successful outcome and I know we can count on it.
